When will my order arrive?
Orders are placed on a weekly cycle (although members are not obligated to order every week). Our online store is open from Friday at 7:30pm until Sunday 11:30pm. Your order will be delivered the following week according to our delivery schedule.
Is there a delivery fee?
Yes. To cover fuel, vehicle maintenance and labour, it is necessary that we charge a delivery fee. The cost is $10 for home delivery and $5 to pickup from one of our Eat Local Pickup Points. Take a look at our delivery locations for more information on Pickup Points.
Will my order be kept cold/frozen?
Our delivery van is equipped with a refrigeration unit to keep your orders cold/frozen during transit. We try to use icepacks when necessary, but rely on these being returned to the warehouse. Pickup Points are equipped with freezers to keep your freezer items frozen, but do not have fridge space. For home deliveries we recommend leaving a cooler outside for the delivery to be kept fresh if you do not plan to be home when the delivery arrives. Please be aware that our temporary use of paper bags does not keep orders as fresh as our cooler bags. We recommend trying to pickup as promptly as possible.
Do I need to be home when my order arrives?
No! Our driver will knock or ring the doorbell to signal the order has arrived, but will not wait for an answer. If you are not going to be home when the delivery arrives we strongly recommend leaving a cooler outside for the delivery to be kept. If there is a specific location you would like the order left, please email us and we will add a note to your account.
How do I return my Eat Local Cooler Bags?
If your Eat Local goods are delivered to your home, please leave any empty cooler bags and ice packs outside your door and our driver will pick them up on his next scheduled delivery.
If you utilize one of our Eat Local Pickup Points, you can leave any empty cooler bags and ice packs at the pickup location. We are NOT currently using our Eat Local cooler bags nor are we accepting bag returns due to COVID restrictions. Please read our weekly newsletter for updates.
How do I return milk bottles?
Please return your milk bottles in the same manner as your cooler bags. To receive credit for your bottles, you most label your bottle with masking tape or writing directly on the bottle with permanent marker. Please do not put anything inside the bottle and rinse well! We can only accept Miller’s Dairy bottles.
How do I report a missing item or quality issue in my order?
If you had a missing item, received the wrong quantity of an item that was confirmed on your order, or received something of poor quality, please fill out our Packing Error Report and someone will address the issue.
I didn’t get my order, what do I do?
If your order did not arrive on the expected day and location, please call 226-568-4503 and leave a detailed message if no-one is available to answer your call.
